Philanthropic Support
A museum incurs real costs when adding a new artifact to its collection. These costs include—but are not limited to—packing, transport or shipping to the museum, conservation, appropriate storage containers, ongoing care and maintenance, and staff time spent researching, cataloging, and accessioning the object.
